BESCOM Electricity Bill Calculator
Calculate your exact Bengaluru (BESCOM) residential electricity bill with KERC tariff orders (₹4.75 & ₹7.00 slabs), ₹110/kW fixed demand charges, 9% state duty, and Gruha Jyothi Scheme zero-bill entitlement simulation.
KERC mandates ₹110 per kW per month fixed charge on domestic connections.
*Rule: If current usage is within your entitlement (max 200U), your net bill is ₹0. If you consume between entitlement and 200U, you only pay for the extra units! If usage exceeds 200U, full bill applies.

Karnataka Gruha Jyothi & BESCOM Billing FAQs
How is the Gruha Jyothi entitlement limit calculated?
The Karnataka government calculates your individual entitlement by averaging your monthly electricity consumption over the preceding 12 months (April 2022 to March 2023 or last 12 billing cycles) and adding a 10% buffer. The maximum entitlement cap is 200 units.
What happens if my consumption exceeds 200 units in a month?
If your monthly meter reading exceeds 200 units, you are not eligible for the Gruha Jyothi subsidy for that billing cycle. You must pay the full bill (Energy charges + Fixed charges + FAC + 9% Duty).
Are tenants in Bangalore apartments eligible for Gruha Jyothi?
Yes. Tenants can apply through the Seva Sindhu portal by linking their Aadhaar card with their rental agreement and BESCOM Consumer Account ID.
